The lid must be open when the grenade is to be used. The lid is closed only as an additional safety device, e.g. for rappelling or similar purposes.
The grenades are secured under the elastic band and the securing ring is hooked into the carbine hook

Mounted with the folding system
The lid, which closes with Velcro, must be closed when moving before deployment. The grenade is then protected and cannot come loose.
Open the lid to make the grenades accessible. Secure the lid with the Velcro pieces in the open position.
It is important to have a firm grip on the shackle when grasping the grenade.
