A catastrophic bleed in an arm or leg must be stopped as quickly as possible for the chances and possibility of survival to be favourable. Being able to apply a tourniquet within seconds or minutes can be the difference between survival or death.

• The Tourniquet uses an adhesive tape and an adaptive friction buckle that allows it to fit a wide range of circumferences.
• The tensioner, which is easily operated with one hand, uses a free internal band to provide greater and more extensive pressure on the area of interest.
• The tensioner is then locked into position, still with one hand, with a built-in hook.
• To further secure the buckle during transport, a Velcro strap is used to lock over the hooks.
