Kupilka Firesteel 8 - Ignition steel

Firesteel from Kupilka that creates up to 3000 degrees hot sparks, even if the firesteel gets wet it will never stop working.

The associated "striker" ie the metal piece that you pull on the lighter is a residual product from the metal industry. This combined with the fact that the leather cord (of pure leather) is ethically produced and the handle of Careline (50% wood fiber and 50% plastic) makes it a very humane product. The sturdy handle allows you to easily grip the FireSteel 8 with gloves on. This essential tool is a necessity for all outdoor enthusiasts!

The thickness of the firesteel is 8 mm which gives the name FireSteel 8. The firesteel rod itself is the most important part of a good firesteel. This is created to be hard enough to last a long time but soft enough to be easy to use and provide great sparks. This provides maximum function over time.

The design is a partnership between Kupilka and Karu Survival (a leading company specialized in teaching bush craft and survival skills).

Made in Finland, the matchstick comes from an EU country. The striker is a residual product from the metal industry.

Total length: 124 mm
The dimensions of the ignition steel rod are: 8 mm x 65 mm
Weight: 47 g (including striker and leather cord)
