If the crisis or the war comes
Sweden's warning and alarm system
Sweden has two different types of alarms that go through the word "Hesa Fredrik" :
You could say that in peacetime there's an alarm.
VMA = Important note to the public
In the event of war or immediate danger to war :
Contingency alert and air alarm
VMA-Important note to the public
The alert and informative system VMA (Important Communication to the public) is used in crisis situations. Examples of such situations can be : Emissions of dangerous substances, fires with explosion risk, forest fires and other natural disasters.
In particular, it is in the broadcasting channels of Sweden and via the Swedish Television (as well as text TV) that VMA is sent out. VMA can also be sent as SMS to mobile phones that are in a particular area.
In the event of rare and particularly serious cases, the outdoor warning is used "Hesa Fredrik". This is the alarm system being tested at 15:00 on the first weekday on Monday in March, June, September and December.
Contingency alert and air alarm
Contingency alert
It is a way that the government can use to tell the government that there is an immediate danger to war, or that it is at war.
Air Alarm
used when the authorities estimate that the country will be attacked from the air.

Contingency alert

Be prepared to leave the residence or place where you are on very short notice and take with you the most important thing as warm clothes, something to eat and something to drink. Don't forget the ID.
If you are a wartime, you will immediately go to the place where you have been told.
Air Alarm
Get down to cover immediately! Protection may be a fallback shelter or a cellar in the building where you are located.
Protective Rooms
Protective rooms are special enclosures that will provide shelter for the people of war. All the shelters and shelters with shelters are marked with a special sign.
You don't belong to any special protection room. You're using what's closest.
Find out where your nearest shelter is where you live and in places you often find yourself on.
In the case of an air raid, you shall immediately go to a fallback shelter or in case of emergency to other protective space such as cellars, tunnel, metro station, etc.
