Katadyn

A replacement filter that fits the Katadyn BeFree Water Filtration System and also some Hydrapak products that have an opening of 43 mm.

The filter purifies water with 0.1 micron precision reducing protozoa by 99.9% and bacteria by 99.9999%. The BeFree filter can purify about 1000 litres of water (more if you are purifying clear water only and less if you are purifying cloudy water)

If the filter is clogged by too much cloudy water, it is easily cleaned by putting water in the bottle and shaking it vigorously. Alternatively, unscrew the filter and dip it in water and stir it around until the debris is gone.

Note that the filter should never be rinsed horizontally under a tap as this can ruin the filter.
