The Lafayette hunting radio takes the evolution of the com radio to a whole new level. This hunting radio (walkie talkie) has Bluetooth and is unique in terms of size, weight, shell protection, water resistance, reliability, power consumption and reliability.

The radio is available in two different versions. With Bluetooth and without Bluetooth.

The hunting radio is extremely power efficient with a long operating time despite the fact that the radio has a convenient radio battery. Both the hunting radio and its battery are 100% waterproof (IP-68) making it extremely reliable in wet and rainy weather.

Frequency and Power

The Lafayette Smart Hunting Radio 31 Mhz is an analogue hunting radio that communicates with existing hunting radios on the 31 Mhz frequency. Contrary to what many may think, the analogue communication provides the best possible range and sound quality.

In Sweden, the free frequency range of 31 MHz is divided into 40 channels with transmitter power max 5 W ERP (ERP = power including antenna gain/antenna gain).
The Lafayette hunting radio has 5 watts of output power, but can be set to 1.5, 3 or 5 watts to suit all needs.

Subtone / Pilot tone

One of 38 subtones can be selected for each channel. This means that several hunting teams can use the same channel but choose different subtones / pilot tones to avoid hearing each other's communication.
The subtone acts as a filter so that you only hear calls that occur on that particular subtone. A radio that is not tuned to any subtone hears all traffic on all subtones on a selected channel.

Small and compact

The hunting radio is small and compact, weighing only 228 grams. This makes the radio easy to carry with you. The radio's smooth and ergonomic format makes it fit comfortably in the hand.
The metal outer casing makes the radio extremely rugged. Accessories are attached to the top of the radio, making it easy to carry in your breast pocket.

Bluetooth

Built-in Bluetooth provides a unique connection directly to a mobile phone, headset or earbuds. Bluetooth allows you to answer incoming calls with the touch of a button, and while a mobile call is in progress, radio calls always have priority so you don't miss any important radio message.

The Lafayette Smart hunting radio can be paired with most Bluetooth headsets and earbuds to transmit and receive radio calls.

Built-in manual

The radio's info feature guides you step-by-step through the built-in manual so you don't have to use an instruction book, making this radio extremely easy to use.

Identity and "SMS"

The radio's display shows the name of the last call and "SMS" can be used as a quick and silent communication that does not disturb the game. Text message and individual calls can be selected to be sent to one or all of the hunting team. The radio can create a hunting team channel so that you do not disturb other hunting teams and only receive communication from your own hunting team.

Range test

Using the radio's range test, you can ensure that you have radio contact with the people in your hunting team and, if the signal is weak, move using the range test to improve reception.

Alarm function

In case of an emergency, the hunting team can be alerted and you can see which person needs help.

Find lost radio

The "Find radio" function can be used to find a lost radio, the searched radio will emit a flashing light and maximum sound.

Wireless transmission

For the convenience of new hunters and guest hunters, it is possible to transmit the pilot tone or hunting team channel wirelessly to one or more receivers simultaneously.

Language

The built-in manual is available in English, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian to customize and simplify the use of the radio.
