S - Signs (Symptoms)
T - Treatment

MIST is a working tool that was initially developed within the armed forces for the management of trauma patients. MIST was further developed to be used as a working template for ambulance staff to facilitate reporting in a systematic order to trauma teams.

The MIST report is available in two variants:

- 3.0 A with marking on body for damage

- 3.0 B without body but more marking for notes
