Peak Design scaled away the excess weight

Travel tripods should be portable... it's kind of in the name. That's why Peak Design took the mission seriously and made this tripod a masterpiece of both design and function. The revolutionary design removes all the negative space usually found in tripods.

Travel Tripod has a packing volume equivalent to about half of a traditional tripod, WITHOUT sacrificing either stability or height!

The result was this tripod that is the size of a water bottle! How? Well with 4 years of development!

The stand is a full 152 cm high and can carry up to 9 kg!
The ball head is ultra-flexible and can be directed in any direction. The head has only one adjustment ring and not a lot of confusing knobs. This makes for easy and perfectly safe handling.

The head is compatible with all Peak Design baseplates, as well as the vast majority of other Arca Swiss plates. Removable pins also allow you to use most Arca Swiss L plates.

Ready in seconds

Peak Design didn't just make the stand smaller in back volume. They also made the stand significantly faster! The Travel Tripod goes from packed to fully developed and set up in 9.8 seconds (the official record).

Stable and rigid

3rd party testing shows that the Peak Design Travel Tripod performs equally, if not better, than much clumsier tripods in the same class. This is true both in terms of stability and also in terms of vibration dampening.
Despite the weight being reduced in every possible, and until now even impossible, way, the tripod still has the anchor hook where you can hang a bag or other weight that literally locks the tripod into place.
The tripod has slip-reducing and shock-absorbing feet.

The stand has a unique and brilliant integrated mobile phone holder. This allows you to attach the camera you have with you and capture long exposures and timelapses without any additional accessories.

Carbon fibre or aluminium

Travel Tripod available in two different versions. You can choose between a carbon fibre version and an aluminium version. The carbon fibre version weighs 1.27 kg compared to 1.56 kg for the aluminium version. In addition, the carbon fibre tripod is about 20% more stable!
