The Heat Company Hand Warmers

Hand warmers that are activated by contact with oxygen. Packaged in pairs. The hand warmers are a 100% natural product, completely without toxins and environmentally harmful ingredients. These hand warmers (disposable) are also completely odourless. Thanks to their slim design, the hand warmers can be used in any glove or just in the hand.

Use the hand warmers as follows:
Open the packaging and remove the hand warmer.
The contents react directly to the oxygen and it starts to get hot. Full heat is reached after 5-10 minutes.
Place the hand warmer in your pocket, glove, shoe or inside your clothes, or any other place where you are cold, and enjoy 12 hours of 40℃ heat!
After use, discard the heater in the regular household trash.

Divide the heating time:
By placing a heated heater in a resealable bag, the heating process is interrupted. This way you can split the 12 hours of heat so you get heat when you need it (should be used within a week). It is important that all air seems to escape from the bag before it is sealed as it is the oxygen molecules that activate the process that makes the hand warmer warm.

Since 1992, The heat company has been equipping mountaineers and expeditions, constantly pointing out how well the heat packs work, even at high altitudes. For mountain climbers and expeditions, we recommend that the heat packs are tested and adapted individually.

Activation time, heating time, and maximum temperature vary depending on the environment's air supply. The heat packs are best suited to environments where the air supply is low, e.g. in gloves or trouser and jacket pockets. Hand warmers reach their full power after about 30 minutes and provide a 40°C comfortable heat for over 12 hours. After use, dispose of as bulky waste.

Vermiculite is a soft clay mineral that contributes significantly to soil fertility through its ion exchange capacity. They are similar to mica in shape and also form "flaky" crystals. Vermiculite is used industrially in cat litter and soil conditioners. It is an alternative to asbestos and can be used as noise and heat insulation as well as fire protection.

Activated carbon is a fine-grained carbon (of 90% carbon) with a large internal surface area and with a very porous structure. The pores bind together like sponges. If you imagine the inside figuratively, the size of 2 grams of activated carbon is about the size of a football field.

Waste management
The heaters are completely non-toxic and are sorted after use as household waste.

Use
ACTIVATION: No charging or boiling required. Simply tear apart the packaging and remove the heater. It will then heat itself up within a few minutes.
STOP & REACTIVATE: By placing the heater in an airtight container, the reaction that generates heat can be stopped. The heater can then be reactivated at a later time by re-exposing it to oxygen. Be aware that the effect of reactivation may be somewhat limited as it is difficult to store it in a completely oxygen-free environment. Even a tight plastic bag contains oxygen molecules.
